LAS VEGAS, NV (October, 2011) – What’s pink got to do with it? Pink Jeep Tours – Las Vegas will continue to make strides, show support and partner with Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) to contribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month by kicking off the 4th Annual Trek for the Cure campaign.
This drive will help to promote awareness and education towards the fight against breast cancer. Starting in October, Pink Jeep Tours – Las Vegas will donate $5.10 from the sales of all Red Rock Canyon tours to NVCI. For the past three years, Pink Jeep Tours has offered this special promotion during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Building on that success, the company is extending Trek for the Cure to a year-round campaign to benefit NVCI.
Founded in 1960 in Sedona, Ariz., $5.10 represents 51 years of the Pink Jeep Tours legacy while 10¢ represents the ten-year anniversary of Pink Jeep Tours – Las Vegas. The Red Rock Canyon tour was singled out not only because of its proximity to NVCI’s Summerlin location but also because customers can experience the natural side of Las Vegas.
“This is our 4th year partnering with NVCI and they have been wonderful to work with,” said Alix Reed, the general manager of Pink Jeep Tours – Las Vegas. “We’ve got the ‘pink’ vehicles and they’ve got the cause.”
“We are so pleased to have Pink Jeep Tours on our team, helping to raise both awareness and funds for breast cancer care and research,” said Dr. Phillip J. Manno, interim director of Nevada Cancer Institute. “Their commitment, as well as community support of the Trek for the Cure program, makes a real difference for patients and families affected by cancer.”
