Las Vegas (May. 2011) – Pink Jeep Tours, the premier Southwest luxury tour company will celebrate 10 years of outstanding guided adventures in the Las Vegas area in October, 2011. “It has been a phenomenal 10 years! Our product is a perfect match for this industry and market,” said Alix Reed, General Manager of Pink Jeep Tours-Las Vegas. As in years past Pink Jeep Tours continues to innovate and bring fresh tours and adventure options to the travel industry at the International Pow-Wow event.
Established 51 years ago in Sedona, Arizona, the Las Vegas operation, known for its brightly colored Tour Trekkers, launched its operation from a hair salon appointment book in 2001. Today 26 signature pink, super-custom, all-terrain Tour Trekkers have replaced the Jeep Wranglers and Chevy Suburbans from a decade ago.
Savvy owner Shawn Wendell envisioned combining luxurious, intimate travel for small groups in the rugged Southwest landscape and proceeded to design the groundbreaking Tour Trekker, a big risk at the time. The gamble paid off. Introduced at the 2008 International Pow Wow, the Trekkers seat up to 10 per vehicle and are high-tech comfort enclosures designed for the optimum sightseeing experience.
