PINK JEEP TOURS RIM AND RANCH COMBO TOUR IS BACK

SEDONA, AZ (April 27, 2012) – Pink Jeep Tours is pleased to announce the Scenic Rim & Ranch Combo Tour returns May 1! The Scenic Rim & Ranch Combo Tour offers passengers the opportunity to experience the magnificent Scenic Rim tour for a full panoramic view of Sedona and then venture to Foxboro Horse Adventures for a horseback trail ride at the Foxboro Ranch.

Foxboro Horse Adventures is owned by David and Linda Happeny, and operates on the Foxboro Ranch, which is a 440 acre working ranch located just north of Sedona. David and Linda, along with the owners of Foxboro Ranch, decided to open the Ranch to Pink Jeep Tours for horseback riding in the summer of 2011. Says Linda Happeny, “We know we have a beautiful and unique setting and wanted to share it with other visitors. When we decided to make this opportunity available, we knew Pink Jeep Tours was the perfect company to partner with. The Scenic Rim & Ranch Combo Tour provides visitors with the perfect combination, a scenic Jeep tour with panoramic views of Sedona and then a chance to saddle up for a unique trail ride among the lakes, meadows, and Ponderosa pines.

Created by Pink Jeep Tours, R.O.C.K.S. stands for Reinforcing Our Children’s Knowledge of Sedona. This is an off-road excursion that encourages the love of nature and a respect for the local eco-systems as well as Native American history. The complimentary program takes fourth grade students from the area schools on the Ancient Ruins tour to the Honanki Ruins, a cliff dwelling and rock art site where Sinagua Indians lived from AD 1100 to 1300.

Guides from Pink Jeep Tours show the students how the Native Sinagua used plants for food, medicine, and to make textiles. Students also learn the difference between a petroglyph and pictograph with examples of the rock art in person.

Three schools had the opportunity to take part in the program in January and two schools; Desert Star and St. Joseph’s Catholic, will enjoy the program in February.

This program provides hands on learning and gives the children an up close and personal lesson on the history and treasures lying in their own backyards.
